Health or Hell

When it comes to health, it is not only physical health that matters. Mental health is, too. In this 2020, hatred comments and ‘spice-criticism’ is as easily found as the disease and virus around us. I just wanna touch on those issues real quick. After you finish reading it, please step to outside, take a deep breath and hurry back inside before you get the widespread virus. (Totally kidding here! – or am I?)

PHYSICAL HEALTH
In this week, I was sick and felt more subjected to some responsibilities to go see the doctor instead of the old way of mine, eating no-medicine and let-it-heal-itself method. Because of one thing. COVID-19. Once upon a time, I mean, before the virus is pandemic around the world, people were not aware of their health and just ate whatever they feel delicious about. Now, supplements and vitamins and Toilet Paper are the things people hurriedly grab before the price hikes up to equally a 10-karat ring.

Greed and curiosity of human beings are the culprits of all these problems. People are bored, especially rich people. They want adventure. They want adrenaline rush. They want everything. The sacrifices? Their life.

So there’s always this motto of mine. Moderate is the key to success. Moderate living makes a modern meaningful life. In a nutshell, just DRINK MORE WATER, EXERCISE AND FCUKING INCREASE YOUR METABOLISM before the virus kill you. But that’s a saying: maybe the climate change will kill you faster than the virus???

MENTAL HEALTH

Why I would suddenly touch on this topic is because I listened to Jinnyboy podcast regarding about the committing suicide and seeking help when you are sick mentally.

That is right. Depression, anxiety, self-hatred, and self-despise could be just cured like a sickness when treated accordingly and professionally. But don’t forget sickness would come back too if you do not take care of it nicely and tamely. Keep your mind healthy. *Do not Misinterpret/misperceive people’s intention or speak of mind. If they want to let you know, you should have known. If not, who cares about it. You Don’t! *Do not Seek validation online from all those hate comment when there are so many good comments out there which you put so dearly to your heart.
(*the cross-out of the negativity is just so that you guys’ rebellious part would often do what people tell you NOT to do, but yet you still do it. So, please filter it yourself to view it in your own preference, as long it is positively what I meant)

Reaching out is not a weakness. Getting help is a strength. Seeing the psychiatrist doctor should be normalized within the community. Counselling is not a shame. Don’t take mental health lightly because the cost (a person’s life) is too big to sacrifice. People around have to be observant and pay attention to the symptom of your friends/ families/ relatives/ colleagues/ partners if they speak something out of the blue in an abnormal and weird way. Please don’t be stingy of opening your mouth and ask. It’s better than none and risk losing someone else.

In a nutshell,

Keep your mind healthy,

Drink more water,

Live happily

Or

Hell.

PS Sorry for the lengthy and unedited articles. My mind is a mess now. Gotta go eat some med. Peace!

Mental Health 0.1: Are you an Impostor among Yourselves?

Disclaimer: This post is not related to the current trending game: Among Us, at all. (how I wish it is…). Okay. Back to the topic:           “Man, you don’t DESERVE all the applause!” “C’mon you are not even THERE yet!” Another voice comes in: “Nah, you just get LUCKY only! Do you really think this is good ENOUGH?”           Sometimes, all these voices come from people around you, but most of the time it comes from the voices within yourself. If you feel that way after managing to finish a task or achieve something, I guess you get a little bit of impostor syndrome.           Imposter syndrome means the lack of affirmation of yourself after able to achieve something or complete a work by proven facts. You view your own success as being someone’s work. You view yourself of being lucky to be able to get a new job. You do not validate your o...

My Funeral

This evening, I was reading If I Stay by Gayle Forman. I came to one chapter where Mia, the female protagonist found out that her little brother died later, following their parents' path. Mia wanted to go with her family so that no one left behind. "What would you do if you had to choose?" The chapter continued where this incident made Mia think all the good old family memories. She re-winded a past story that her parents talked about having their own fantasy funeral whereas Mia has to play in their funeral instead of the songs where they played on CD player for ALL funerals. If someone who died like reggae songs, the funeral should play some  Bob Marley's songs. If someone who died love pop songs like me, no doubt the Top 10 Billboard songs should be on the funeral. If someone who died cannot at least got their own wished funeral that represented their life, it's like killing that person all over again with all those insincere eulogies or generic c...

What's scarier than you do the same thing over and over but you are still doing it

If you are born and raised from an Asian family, I am sure that 99.8% of you had been forced to attend some sorts of extra classes or advancement courses to “improve” ourselves while we were young (0.02% were probably crying their eyeballs out to get their getaway card). There is a Malay saying: “ Melentur buluh biarlah dari rebungnya .”, which means that learning in a tender younger age is the best way to cultivate and nourish skills! It’s especially applicable for Asian’s KIASU personality or more specifically Chinese people???           I was definitely not excluded. I was sent to swimming lesson for my mom stating that drowning was very possible in this world covered of around 71% water. Hence, my mom sent every one of us siblings to learn swimming in a very early ages. Other than that, art class and taekwondo class since I was in primary school were attended too.           Truthfully, I am not here to ...
