How to "Unsay" Promised Words

TLDR: Voice out sincerely about changing mind. This change reflects the truest self now. We can't unsay the things we said, but we can 'undo' it by renewing our statement.  . . Few months back, I talked about how things in life is definitely not a 3-minute instant noodle . Results we want can’t receive in as quick as the food-delivery guy send us the food. When my intention of that post is to ask people to get patient for the long-term result, I slap my own face by just falling into that quick dense of my own paradox.             In the early year of 2020, I have made my new year resolution in a manila card. Instead of the traditional list-down resolution, I have been inspired to create a Vision Board that has pictures to show the real imaginary that I want to achieve. I put this vision board in my bedroom so that I could constantly have it right under my vision, so that I can keep reminding myself about it. So crumbled u...

not Cool being Fool but acting Cool is Foolish

The most daunting question asked in interview is not these: “What is your strength?”, “What do you think you can contribute to the company?” or “What is your career aspiration?”. To me, the make-my-heart-stop-a-beat question is “Do you have any questions for us (the company)?”.             My inner thought is like: Wow, now you want me to ask you questions when this is an interview OF me? Most of the time, we think that job interviews are for us to show the best version of ourselves to fit the criteria and requirements of the job sets. No question asked. But little do we realize that this is not a full-on Q&A section for company to know you. It is an interactive conversation between 2 parties who want to get the best out of each other for the better.             People tend to have this misconception that only people who are fool and stupid ask questions, especially tho...

December: Gratitude & Love

December: that time of the year to reflect yourself. This might sound too overrated but never it is when it comes to gratitude and loving yourself and the people around you.             I still remember back when I was still at school (now, I am almost out of university), December is the most anticipated month because it’s holiday! It means more time to play, do useless stuff just to waste time. Ahhhh, those are good ol' days. Plus, just fooling around in the house with literally nothing -okay, maybe some used papers, blunt pencils, or faded coloring-  is enough to satisfy the mini-Vivian. I still recalled I used to make all those origamis in star-shaped, animals, and weird out-of-the-world patterns.             Around this time of the year, in 2020, with smartphones, tablets and video consoles at hands, those good ol' times just seem to be put away in the memories of m...

"Mess" pot of Laksa

Living in this multiracial and “muliti-flavourful” country, we – Malays, Indians, Chinese, Bumiputeras etc., are literally this big – super huge - pot of mixed Laksa. Yes, you hear it right. A hot delicious ‘messy’ pot of Laksa. Do you know there are 5 basic variants of Laksa, based on Wikipedia and 12 different types of them in Malaysia? This really surprises me when I always just eat one kind in Ipoh. Not the most presentable, but taste like a miracle             Don’t worry. I am definitely not a food connoisseur, so I am not here to talk about my food trip or my vlog. I come across thinking it, because I feel like we are living in this messy pot of Laksa.             I don’t know what the heck I want to write. I had my writing block that   I literally struggle myself in writing this exact post during these few days . I made a mess from juggling my job sea...

Random Shit: Leave off Void, Live on WOW

Today, 14/11/2020, when I’m literally writing this, I received 6 packages delivered to my doorstep – or rather gate step. 6 PACKAGES!!! TOTALLY SIX DELIVERYS CAME INTO MY HOME! Oh god! I have no idea how this 11.11 sales has got into my mom’s shopping carts that my front step is literally bombarded by the horns non-stop with my neighbors coming out to take a glance.           This year the ecommerce market has definitely gone wild and crazy. The revenues for every platform like Lazada, Shopee, Taobao etc must be laughing some way that they earned a whole lot of money from this 11.11 festive alone.           Okay. I got that we all have this lipstick effect or revengeful shopping spree going on now. Everyone who plans to go on vacations or holidays overseas is doomed to stay at their hometown since COVID19 messes our schedules up. So why not buy something to “compensate” myself for not be...

Mental Health 0.3: Time to Stand up For YourSoulf

When was the last time you happily sang in the shower with no rush ? When was the last time you played innocently like a kid with no phone and no internet? When was the last time you stood up for the right things even though all the others were against you – not affected by mass pressure? When was the last time you dreamt about unicorns, rainbows and fantasies instead of having insomnia worrying about your life? When was the last time you looked inside the mirror and thought you were the most beautiful person ever in this earth and not worried about your appearances? . .           Last time, last time, when is it this time?           If not now, when? If not then, why? If not ever, how? . . Time to unclutter your inner soul like how you organize your stuffs in the room. Throw away unused emotions like how fast you threw your ex’s stuffs without a second thought. ...

Mental Health 0.2: You are not a SAVIOR!

Helping vs Caring Do you really try to help in a good intention or something else?      When your loved ones are suffering or facing some problems, are you eager to help out by voicing out your solutions, your recommendations to do this and do that? You will be so contented and happy when they accept your methods, even if they actually did not really ask for it and haven’t completed what they wanna tell ya.  Yeah, you got that right! You maybe have some savior complex going on in you.      Savior complex , or called as white knight syndrome , is the time that you put your disgusting gross finger into other people’s businesses and think that you are saving their butt off. But, actually it is annoying to them because no one asks for them.      We literally live in a world surrounding of K-drama scenes broadcasting how the hero is saving the life of a depressed and financially draught girl from some traumatized moments. Why can'...

Mental Health 0.1: Are you an Impostor among Yourselves?

Disclaimer: This post is not related to the current trending game: Among Us, at all. (how I wish it is…). Okay. Back to the topic:           “Man, you don’t DESERVE all the applause!” “C’mon you are not even THERE yet!” Another voice comes in: “Nah, you just get LUCKY only! Do you really think this is good ENOUGH?”           Sometimes, all these voices come from people around you, but most of the time it comes from the voices within yourself. If you feel that way after managing to finish a task or achieve something, I guess you get a little bit of impostor syndrome.           Imposter syndrome means the lack of affirmation of yourself after able to achieve something or complete a work by proven facts. You view your own success as being someone’s work. You view yourself of being lucky to be able to get a new job. You do not validate your o...

Fake it really can make it when you are...

Fake it really can make it when you are human being with perseverance, passion and pen to jot down what I am going to tell to inspire you. 😏 Okay, here's the point. If you really think I have some magic to help you fake your life through and through, then you must be first time knowing me - because of how BS a person I am.      Fake it can definitely make it. But the problem is how long you are going to stay 'there' even you know your soul is not really 'there'.       Passion is not easy. Gary Vaynerchuk , Chairman of VaynerX/CEO of Vayner Media/5-times-Best-Selling-Author, once said: "Skill is cheap. Passion is priceless." If everyone CAN become doctor, this world wouldn't be having so many public demonstration about working more than 36 hours but paid with unreasonable low salary. If everyone WANTS to become stewardess, there would be 100% unemployment rate shot up during this pandemic era. No excuse. Just res...

Random Rant: Am I a CryBaby

I had cried for more than 3 times, if I'm not wrong, for this single week. It doesn't necessarily mean the big devastating, sky-wrecking cries; it can include the tears dropping or tears swiveling around the eyes. It's okay 😒            This week should be a happy week for me since my birthday fell under this week. But unexpectedly (or, expectedly, for someone that knows me well), I had dropped my tears for multiple times. Of course, there were reasons behind. It's not like I cried for no reason.            I found out that I was quite (or, maybe REALLY) emotional person. If you have seen my emotional side, it does not mean anything. It is just simply that I am easily touched by A LOT of things and incidents.           People may call me 'oversensitive', 'overreact' or a 'CryBaby'. It may sound like an insult to anyone, but not me. At least, I wouldn't feel shameful to admit. 'Yes...

Do you get the right Google?

I have been following MarkManson ’s articles for quite awhile that his post for every Monday is a downright inspirational wake-up call. Not the normal read-it-and-forget inspiration. It’s the kick-your-ass inspiration. You might think I am exaggerating but he can discuss something as simple as philosophy but comes out to be a remarkable discover that yet to be talked widely about even though the answer is obviously there. On. The. Table.            It lets me think about how people nowadays consume the same information, same news, yet could give out different opinions viewing the same issue.           Let’s talk about the most current nerve-wrecking hot topic – COVID19. Could you imagine seeing how real this pandemic is, there are still people in this world not believing this is a REAL STUFF adversely affecting the entire populations. People are still going out and have fun without...
